Welcome to PuzzleWhere.com. My name is Brian, and this website and the business behind it are my creation. I know it’s not going to change the world, but I’m hopeful that it has a positive impact on those it reaches, starting with myself and the two amazing young ladies who are the inspiration for it and for everything I do in life. They would be my beautiful daughters Maddy and Bria. Ever since they were tiny little things that could barely walk or talk, I have tried consistently to teach them to “Problem Solve”. I tell them life is full of problems— they come in all shapes and sizes— and learning how to approach them is a fundamental skill required for navigating the ups and downs we all face on a daily basis. Often times, people lose the battle with a problem before they even get started solving it because they don’t properly recognize and define it. Or they don’t take the time to identify and consider all their options for solving it. Their emotions take control and they dive headfirst into tackling it. That’s where puzzles fit in. When you are trying to solve a logic puzzle, your emotions don’t factor in or at least they don’t in the same way as trying to solve a relationship problem, health problem, financial problem, etc. Instead, you can very clearly and rationally define the problem and methodically consider your options for solving it. I believe that doing logic puzzles can help people change the way they approach life’s puzzles (aka problems). I don’t hold any advanced degrees in Psychiatry or Behavioral Science, so PuzzleWhere.com is definitely not FDA-approved treatment for any medical issue or disorder. But I do have a Mathematics degree from MIT, so I hope at the very least I can provide mentally stimulating and entertaining puzzles for people to enjoy.

   
I am an introvert by nature, so sharing personal details about my life is not something I’m comfortable with. But I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t accept that this is a problem of mine, and that I need to “Problem Solve” if I’m to successfully bring my puzzles to puzzle lovers everywhere. On that note, the picture I’ve included here is that of my older daughter Maddy when she was in kindergarten several years ago. Her class had a party to celebrate the first 100 days of kindergarten. As part of the celebration, each student was to design and wear a t-shirt reflective of 100 things. Some kids drew 100 hearts or flowers or smiley faces, some kids glued on 100 items, and my daughter (taking after her father) used tally marks to literally count each day of the week. While it took me many years to follow through, the idea of putting logic puzzles on t-shirts was born on that day.

As of the writing of this welcome message, we have 21 t-shirts available in our store. Some of the puzzles on them are unique to PuzzleWhere.com, some are puzzles that are available elsewhere. Our intent is not to stump everyone with our puzzles. Our intent is to provide entertaining topics for conversation amongst family, friends, and strangers. We’d love to hear from you if you have ideas for puzzles that help us achieve that goal.
